About Paula D. Wynen, LSWLife is a journey that can sometimes have circuitous routes along with bumps in the road. Sometimes, we can travel along on our own but sometimes we could use some help. I would like to be there for you and help you along your journey of self-discovery, actualizing your potential and overcoming personal issues. Talk about circuitous routes! I was a Special Educator for over 20 years and have found my encore career as a therapist. My work in teaching overlaps with that of working therapeutically in that I always strive to find a person’s strengths and help them to be the best that they can be. |
My life experience as the mother of triplets and having an adult child on the Autistic Spectrum has only enhanced my therapeutic work and I can help those parents and siblings of special needs children, teens and adults navigate the stressors associated with their unique family situation.
I have had experience in working with children diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and anxiety along with family issues within the context of substance use. My authenticity as a mature adult with life experience along with my compassion, empathy and sense of humor can only enrich the therapy process.
